Nicole Scherzinger has revealed how she is settling in to her presenting role on The X Factor USA.

Nicole Scherzinger, who was recently announced to front the American version of the programme with Steve Jones, told Digital Spy that she enjoys “being there for the artists” and “not having to be in the position to say no” to the contestants.”

On her co-presenter Steve Jones, she insisted that he is “a gentlemen”, adding: “I’m really happy for him – he’s been preparing for this for ten years.”

Speaking at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the ‘Poison’ star also revealed that the show will have “pretty much the same format” as the UK version, but described her role as an “artist ambassador… representing the artist side”.
